General information that every traveler should know about Baggage and Household Goods when entering and leaving the country is provided below.

BAGGAGE:

Baggage means any new or used goods that a traveler may reasonably need provided that they are meant for use or consumption according to the purpose and duration of the trip and that for their quantity or nature are presumed to not be destined to trade or industry.BAGGAGE means new or used goods that a traveler may reasonably require provided that they are for traveler’s use or consumption according to the purpose and duration of the trip and, which due to their quantity, nature or variety, are not presumed to be destined for commercial or industrial purposes.

In this regard, we should note that in article 9° of the Regulations of the Special Customs Regime of Baggage and Household Goods approved by Supreme Decree N° 182-2013-EF is established a list of goods comprising the traveler’s baggage that are not subject to taxes.

This benefit is granted to travelers with passports or official document when entering or leaving the country.
