Bear in mind the following conditions to complete and hand out the Baggage Declaration Form – Entry:

  • You should previously read the reverse side of the form, where there is a list of goods considered as baggage that are exempt from taxes. If any good brought by the traveler is not in this list, it should be declared as a good subject to tax payment.
  • To calculate the corresponding taxes, you should go to the Office for Customs Valuation and then go to the “Banco de la Nación” (national bank) for the corresponding payment.
  • All travelers carrying more than US$ 10,000 in cash and/or in monetary instruments are required to declare them in the Baggage Declaration Form – Entry. Failure to declare will be subject to the corresponding legal actions.
  • If goods as part of a traveler’s baggage are exempt from taxes, then you should go directly to the Customs checkpoint with the Baggage Declaration Form – Entry and press a button, which will randomly select your baggage for inspection depending if a red or green light appears.
