Guide for Travelers

 

Here you will find information that any traveler must know when entering or exiting the country on baggage, household goods, entry or exit of corpses and human remains.

BAGGAGE:

Baggage means any new or used goods that a traveler may reasonably need provided that they are meant for use or consumption according to the purpose and duration of the trip and that for their quantity or nature are presumed to not be destined to trade or industry.

In this regard domestic regulations have established a list of items, which as a part of a traveler’s baggage, are exempt from Customs taxes according to article 4° of the Regulations on Baggage and Household Goods approved by Supreme Decree N° 016-2006-EF. This benefit is granted to travelers carrying a passport or official document when entering into or exiting from the country their baggage or items.
